SUSPENSION OF GRANT APPLICATION ACCEPTANCE

The A.E. Finley Foundation has announced a limited suspension in the acceptance of new grant applications until further notice.  This suspension does not mean that we have stopped funding to committed short and long term obligations.

The decision to temporarily suspend grant application acceptance is due to available funds already being committed.  Even though our support has grown annually, funding requests have also grown.  As a result of an increase in these requests, our available funding has been committed at an earlier date than in previous years.  We have therefore made the decision for the suspension recognizing that we will continue in 2009 supporting programs that agree with our mission.

Requests for grant assistance are to be made by letter and should include the following information:

v      A description of the structure, purpose, history and program of

                      your organization.

v     A summary of the needs for support and how it will be used.

v     A detailed budget for the use of any grant funds received from the Foundation.

v     Copies of the documentation of your organization’s tax-exempt status under the Internal Revenue Code.

Requests for grant assistance are reviewed monthly by the A.E. Finley Foundation Board of Directors. If your grant application is approved, you may be required to sign a Grant Agreement with the Foundation prior to disbursement of any funds.
